No more than one meter: Electromagnetic fields produced by computers, tv sets and household appliances

Computer monitors produce very low frequency magnetic fields, when the monitor is running: they are usually a bit more intense on the back and become very low when you station at more than 1 meter distance. For television sets the situation is quite similar: the latest monitors no longer have the magnets which drive the cathode ray tube and therefore produce much lower EMFs.

For all household appliances we can expected magnetic fields of significant frequency only within a meter from the appliance.
